Chapter 33 — This Male Lead Is a Bit Sick (33)
Looking around, Shen Mubai slammed her rod down on another head. She asked the system, “Why is that man still not here?”
System: “Don’t worry about it.”
Shen Mubai: “No rush then, I will just reunite with the team.”
She swung her iron rod hard, almost like a mighty general showing his power in the battlefield.
Qin Yifeng’s despair vanished as he witnessed the shocking sight, his eyes regaining their previous vigor and conviction to survive.
The zombies came onto them like a tide, crazy and ferocious. The group of zombies that had originally entered the supermarket were alerted and the scene became ever more gruesome.
Just as the team was being pushed back, the zombies suddenly scattered like ants. They looked deeply afraid, and ran away in panic. The supermarket and gas station that had been completely packed with zombies became deserted.
Li Haopeng was still holding his gun. He was stunned. “What happened?”
What had forced the zombies to retreat?
Shen Changqing squinted at a distance and thought, “It’s possible that the zombies left because something scared them or something else attracted them.”
As a captain, not only did he have the highest ranked ability, but he was also very knowledgeable and quick to pick up on things. He’d just made one small mistake.
It wasn’t something that made the zombies fearful, it was a certain someone.
After the zombies had left, Shen Mubai vomited in a trash can. As she wiped her mouth, she said, “I waited too long.”
Qin Yifeng, a witness to this: “…..”
Coming from the southwest, a figure was slowly sauntering towards them. The man had an astonishingly clean set of clothes, his ice-blue eyes were emotionless, and his body emitted a chilling aura that was unmatchable.
He seemed to step on everyone’s hearts with each unhurried stride, his presence causing everyone to stiffen up.
He towered over everyone.
The team knew that the man in front of them was not only dangerous, but a powerful authority they could not provoke.
Shen Changqing watched Huo Junhan, this imposing figure reflecting in his eyes.
Huo Junhan walked up to Shen Mubai, his eyes carefully sweeping over her.
Shen Mubai shivered violently and cried to the system, “I knew he couldn’t wait to eat me. You’re a big liar, system!”
Huo Junhan frowned slightly then spoke, his icy voice aligning with his cold personality beautifully, “You have the smell of other zombies on you.”
Shen Mubai breathed a sigh of relief and assured the system, “It’s okay. That’s all he wanted to say.”
System: “….” Some people’s EQ and IQ were inherently flawed.
Qin Yifeng stepped up and quickly explained what had happened. He looked at the man’s face and saw that it remained passive. A strange feeling arose in his heart—it was as if the man already knew what had happened.
There was only a slight crack in the window of the car, surprisingly. The team walked to the river to wash themselves of the blood.
After thoroughly scrubbing herself clean, Shen Mubai returned from the river to see Huo Junhan being his usual, cold self.
VIS: Yayyy, Qin Yifeng didn’t die UWU good for him (I still cry for him, the next chapter is sad T-T especially for him…poor guy…it’s okay Qin Yifeng, I still love you) <- spoiler?….or nahhh??
