Chapter 17
One week later.
Shen Shenxue sat on the bed in her pajamas with no expression on her face.
Xiao Wu asked the doctor, who was sitting by the bedside, “Doctor Du, how is she?”
“The injury has almost recovered. One to two more days should be enough for her to get up and move about.” Doctor Du pushed his glasses. “It’s just…”
Seeing his expression of wanting to speak out, however, he stopped himself. Shen Shenxue turned her head and was not the least bit concerned, but Xiao Wu asked, “What is it?”
“It’s this scar on her body….it would still require more time before it could recover.”
Doctor Du took out several bottles of ointment from the medicine box and told them, “After few more days, wash the scars with water during the day and apply the ointment before going to bed. This way, the recovery will be faster.”
Following that, he sighed.
He was more optimistic, but the real matter still depended on one’s personal physique.
Shen Shenxue’s body was badly injured. If it happened to be a scar-prone body, I’m afraid it’s very difficult to restore the original skin.
In the castle, Doctor Du has long been accustomed to the demise of the people who failed to comply with the rules, and has already put aside his sympathy. However, it is always a pity for such a beautiful woman to leave a scar on her body.
“Understood. Thank you Doctor Du.”
Xiao Wu waited for those employed in the castle to politely see Doctor Du to the stairway before turning back.
Shen Shenxue sat down on the bed, focused, as if she was a jade statue.
The skyray outside the window shone in and covered her face with thin and soft light, making her originally impeccable face even more delicate. Even the crescent-shaped white scar on her face appeared to be somewhat charming.
This really is a beautiful woman, Xiao Wu sighed in her heart.
Looking at her silent face from the side, Xiao Wu couldn’t help but asked : “What are you thinking about? Worried about scarring your body? You can rest assured that……”
“No.” Shen Shenxue turned her head. The corner of her mouth drew a faint smile. “If I am not mistaken, you are worried about me?”
Xiao Wu frowned and said stiffly, “It’s my duty to worry about everyone in the castle.”
Shen Shenxue took a glance at her, and suddenly said : “Has anyone told you that your speech is just like a robot? Nobody would like such a cold and mechanical woman.”
“I am not like you Miss Shen.” Xiao Wu interrupted her and coldly said: “My job is not to please men.”
“Oh.” Shen Shenxue lightly chuckled.
Women do not live to please men, but people have to do it to get the attention of their loved ones. If one could not even admit it frankly, it is useless to say anything else.
Suddenly, she felt very bored. She turned to look out of the window and abruptly said, “I want to see Quan Shi.”
“In the castle, no one is allowed to address the Sir by his name. That is the rule.” Xiao Wu frowned and warned, “This time, I’ll let it go. If you don’t want to stay in bed any longer, you better behave yourself.”
“I want to see him.” Shen Shenxue persistently said.
“The Sir isn’t free.” Xiao Wu relentlessly rejected her and paused before continuing, “Moreover, Sir said that he would not see you until you get rid of the thorns on your body.”
Get rid of the thorns?
Shen Shenxue grinned, wondering if she was too proud in her daily life, that everyone was keen to suppress her.
Since these people wants her to lower her head, then she would do it for them to see.
“Sister Xiao Wu, I want to meet Sir. Could I trouble you to inform him? ” Shen Shenxue lowered her head and meekly said : “If Sir refuse to see me, then ask him……”
Suddenly, she smiled, her eyes were bright and graceful.
“Don’t you want to know my scheme?”
