Chapter 7 — The Male Lead Is a Bit Sick (7)

In any case, the system would not watch the host starve to death, “In your pocket.”

Shen Mubai was elated to touch her pocket and finally find a small bag of steamed buns.

Shen Mubai: “System, you’d do this for me?”

The system just replied with, “Now you can eat meat with Huo JunHan.”

Shen Mubai’s heart was beating out of her chest as she stuffed the buns into her mouth one after another.

What she didn’t realize was that the moment she had turned, Huo Junhan had opened his eyes and looked over.

According to the system, although it was unknown what Huo Junhan’s purpose was when he had kidnapped her, right now, it was beneficial for the completion of the task. She could skip the process of approaching the man.

From that day on, Huo Junhan no longer gave Shen Mubai corpse arms and thighs, but instead brought her normal human food.

Shen Mubai chewed the dried tofu off to the side while asking the system, “System, why am I feeling alarmed?”

“You’re just bored.” System replied.

Since being brought back by Huo Jun Han, Shen Mubai had lived in captivity. Everyday she would consume the food and water brought back by Huo Junhan, never going hungry. It was a better lifestyle than that of the human beings trying to survive outside.

But Shen Mubai still felt that something was wrong; even the dried tofu in her hand had lost its taste.

Ask yourself, how can a zombie-eater catch you, and, in addition, not let you take a step out of the place while giving you a good meal everyday. It is very suspicious.

When you eat so much plain tofu, it’s easy to get tired of it. o( ̄ヘ ̄o) (1)

After they had stayed together for a few days, Shen Mubai also figured out the time schedule of Huo Junhan’s outings. After the last piece of stinky tofu was eaten, Shen Mubai felt that life was suddenly full of emptiness. She had not eaten meat for a long time.

“Meat, I want meat.” Shen Mubai recited over and over again.

Her chanting had brought Huo Junhan back. (TL: her chanting was basically a mantra)

The summoner remained unaware and continued whining about eating meat.

Huo Junhan pulled on Shen Mubai’s collar, lifting her whole body. One human and one zombie stared at each other.

There was no human emotion in the ice-blue eyes that were staring at Shen Mubai, as if she was a piece of meat on a cutting board.

Shen Mubai was creeped out by him. She asked the system in her heart, “Is he tired of eating zombies and wants a change in taste?”

The system said, “You think too much.”

Shen Mubai just wanted to get back on the ground, but Huo Juhan took her into his arms instead. Shen Mubai’s brain was still in a muddled state when she arrived at a clear river.

When Huo Junhan used his powerful mental strength to bring a few live fish up, Shen Mubai’s eyes rolled back and refused to return to normal.

When the end of the world came, the zombie virus had spread everywhere. Many water sources became polluted. It wasn’t only humans who turned into zombies, but even animals and plants changed. Because of this, many people didn’t dare to enter the water or hunt the creatures in the water. Water abilities and plant abilities became special. Precious.

However, Huo Junhan’s place showed no traces of pollution. Even the river was incomparably clear and clean, and the fish that had been caught were still fresh and alive.

  1. There is a Chinese idiom “吃豆腐” which means “eating tofu” which means taking advantage of women. It’s meant as a joke that Chinese men use when an accident happens that is…ya know lol. The sentence here basically means that if you eat too much “tofu” you will eventually become tired of it. Which is a word play because Shen is eating tofu, blah blah you get it.
